Job Description:
Product Development Manager should be a business leader for the assigned product and should drive the product business growth profitably. PM has to give competitive technical and commercial solutions to the customers/ sales. Should be able to monitor business trends and formulate the product strategy besides preparing budget forecasts.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Establish system for new product development & commercialization
- Give Technical and Commercial support for the product assigned and also develop new concepts.
- Give quote proposal.
- Develop the prototypes, recipes, conduct trials and do GAP assessment.
- Develop packaging (primary and secondary for the proposed products).
- Set up Pricing, promotion, placement strategies for the product
- Identify product gaps, get management approvals for capex, and launch new product / product extensions.
- Coordinate with operations & engineering to review and ensure adequate product capacity.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in product development in the food industry, prefer seafood.
- Experience managing product development projects from ideation to commercialization.
- Experience with regulatory compliance for food safety, labeling, and environmental standards.
